I have marginal vision in my left eye and slightly more in my right.
I had to stop driving 7 years ago and have come a long way since then. As the years go by, I have learnt to deal with the highs and lows. I frequently go out and about and my cane is a lifeline to me….

I have volunteered with Sightline for some time now; originally doing the helpline then moving across to the befriending service. A friend recommended the opportunity, and I am now well into my 2nd year of volunteering for the charity…

I have been volunteering with Sightline for around 3 years now. I have age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and was registered blind last year.
I currently talk to one gentleman (also living with AMD) twice a week. Mike* lives alone but a friend and stepchildren help with shopping and visits etc…
